Dates are something that is a part of life if you ever intend to have a significant other. That is unless you are part of some sort of culture that still believes in arranged marriages. If you are one of those that lives where you have to go on a date there are a lot of things that will cross your mind. When going on your first date, something you will want to have already accomplished is to learn how to kiss. To learn how to kiss is something that comes naturally to some but not to others, and for those people here are a few things to keep in mind.

Making yourself seem kissable is a very important lesson when you learn how to kiss. To make yourself seem kissable you can do some things as simple as applying some lip balm or brushing your teeth before you leave the house. Oral hygiene is important when you learn how to kiss as nobody wants to look and see plaque and stuff in your teeth. Plus having fresh breath is a sign that you actually prepared for your date.

Also when you learn how to kiss, pay attention to your date. Watch what they are doing and see if they are even interested in what you are doing. If not then a kiss might not be in your future anyhow unless it is a pity kiss. But if you pay attention to what they are doing, how they are reacting to the conversation, and if they are even having a good time, that will help you when you learn how to kiss as those are things that will show you whether or not there is even a kiss in your future.

Kissing gently is something that is very important. We've all seen the television shows and movies where they go in for these hard, passionate kisses. Thing is, when you learn how to kiss you can get just as much passion and arousal from a soft, gentle kiss when it is the first kiss of the night. If you notice that your date is actually enjoying themselves and acts as though they would actually enjoy a kiss, lean in and softly press your lips to theirs. No tongue and no pushing so hard you feel their teeth through their lips. Just a gentle brush of your lips to theirs that lasts no more than just a few seconds.

Pull away but keep your faces close and look at your date. If they are lingering as though they really enjoyed it, that would be the time to go in for the longer, but still soft, kiss. But if once you pull away they are looking as though they want to run for the table, just call it a night and move onto someone else. This just might not be the person for you.
